So here is a list of the closest beaches to your Mooloolaba beachfront resort, however there are lots more glistening beaches for you to explore just a little further away as well.

Mooloolaba beach

Directly across the road from Oceans is Mooloolaba's patrolled beach, a popular beach with tourists and locals in a great position with BBQ facilities and close to shops, restaurants and cafes. It is a very busy beach, especially since it is so close to the Esplanade, but you are sure to find your own slice of heaven here. The Mooloolaba Surf Club with it's spectacular views is just down the road and serves some delicious food.

Alexandra Headland

Just 3 mins north of your Mooloolaba accommodation will find you at this wonderful ribbon like beach which is popular with families and surfers alike. Fully patrolled and safe for everyone, this is a great beach for a lazy day with a book or just your surf board. It’s also a perfect spot for a game of cricket and close to cafes, restaurants and boutiques.

Maroochydore beach

Just a few minutes further north of Alexandra Healdland finds you at Maroocydore. This surfing beach is fully patrolled and close to all amenities. The Surf Life Saving Club offers food and drinks and is very popular on weekends with tourists and locals.

Cotton Tree beach

Just a few minutes further north of Maroochydore finds you at Cotton Tree with its lovely selection of cafes, children’s play area and glistening beach. Cotton Tree is fringed by the banks of the Maroochy River to the north and a pristine beach to the west.

Buddina beach

This is the best kept secret on the Sunshine Coast – just 12 minutes south of your Mooloolaba accommodation and only patrolled during the summer, this is a local favourite. A great spot for sunbaking in peace and there’s lots of shady spots to stretch out in during the heat of the day. Just be aware that dogs are permitted off lead on this beach.
